A note on language:
This website contains identity first language such as “autistic people” rather than person first language such as “people with autism” to respect the wishes of our clients and to align with current advocacy and identity research toward promoting autism as an integral piece of identity rather than a condition to be cured.
What is neurodiversity?
Neurodiversity includes: Autism, ADHD, dyspraxia, dyslexia, trauma or ptsd, and mental health experiences such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder and OCD.
Being neurodivergent means having a brain that works differently . This may be differences in social preferences, ways of learning, ways of communicating and/or ways of perceiving the environment.
