I AM Mission
The Institute for Adolescent and Adult Autism and Mental Health (I AM!) in Madison, Wisconsin, is dedicated to providing inclusive, individualized, and effective mental health treatment and peer communities for neurodivergent people throughout adolescence and adulthood.
I AM includes treatment and support from the country's foremost experts in the field of autism in adulthood, autism and adult relationships, and neurodiverse mental health approaches. Our collaborative clinicians have a deep gratitude for both their clients' and their own personal experiences with autism and neurodivergence.
A note on language:
This website contains identity first language such as “autistic people” rather than person first language such as “people with autism” to respect the wishes of our clients and to align with current advocacy and identity research toward promoting autism as an integral piece of identity rather than a condition to be cured.
